Workshop on: Quality and Authenticity of Web Resources


It is a workshop about how web resources rely on the original references and authoritative writings and articles. On  19th November 2019, Prof Dilip Barad sir organised one workshop on how to find Quality and Authenticity of web Resources at the Department of English. Through this workshop, we get information about the quality and Authenticity of Web Resources.


In the present time, students reliance on the internet 🌐 and uses web sources, but how they are authentic and valid. Nowadays the use of the library is reduced. In present time more internet is being used instead of the library.

 The use of the internet is increasing by the students and teachers for reading educational materials and research. How much credibility can be read online for assignments and research papers in this digital age?

According to the Turnitin report, which websites are most preferred for reading and research according to information and statistics.

The rubric is built on five criteria.
1. Authority
2. Educational value
3. Intent
4. Originality
5. Quality


1. Spark notes: Othello (William Shakespeare)

       This site is very useful for understanding and analysis of the work. This site provided a plot, summary, analysis, main ideas and quotes. Sparknotes is related to the quality of the idea and original context of the work. This information is reliable for study and not a pure source of the original text but quotes are available in this site.

2. Gradesaver: All My Sons ( Arthur Miller)

     This site contributes to the discussion and answers questions. Information on the site is also preferable. This site is credible. Intent the site clearly positions itself as an expounder of content.
